Rufina Lydia Yu Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rufina Lydia Yu (Garden City Park, New York), who passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her brothers, Larry and Dennis Villareal; her children, Ann Marie (Thomas Marcoline), Robert (Marie Yu), Richard (Christina Yu) and Rosemarie (Michael Lee); her grandchildren, Isabella, Emily, Tristan, Alex, Tyler, Ryan of Mikayla, RJ and Kyle; and her husband Renato Yu.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Park Funeral Chapels (2175 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park, NY 11040). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Aidan's R. C. Church (508 Willis Ave, Williston Park, NY 11596).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Rufina Lydia Yu to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research or The Parkinson's Foundation. Your support will help accelerate progress toward a cure for Parkinson's disease.
