He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Howard Rose and Alice Maude Whitman; his stepchildren, LaGrange and Madison; his wife Ruth Benedict; his sons, Michael (Marguerite Koch-Rose) and Steven (Ann Horvath-Rose) of Bethesda, MD; his grandchildren, Carolyn, Julia, Tommy and Luke; his parents-in-law, Edith Benedict of Fairport, NY, Teri Horvath (Ann), Rockville, MD and Margo Koch (Marguerite); his siblings, Daniel Benedict, Dexter Benedict (Faith), Steve Benedict (Linda), Becky Bialaszewski (Bob), Rachel Doan (Alan) and Esther Benedict (Norma); his former wife Judith Rose of Kirkwood, MO; and his siblings-in-law, Gerry Benedict and Sue Benedict. He was also cherished by cousins and Benedict nieces and nephews.
