She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignatius Hoefer and Carrie Hoefer (Unser); her siblings, Edward, Marguerite, Ann and Agnes; her husband Walter E. Nyfeler of Ghent; and her son Donald W. Nyfeler.

She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Opshanski (George) and Holly Tanner (Ron); and her grandchildren, Lauren, W. Gavin Tanner and Nathan Opshanksi. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
