He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Julius J. Oppenheimer and Anna E. Fuhr; his wife Jeanne Scoma; his children, George Oppenheimer of New York, Elizabeth "Betty" Taylor (Scott) of Colorado and Ruth Oppenheimer (Welkin Johnson) of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Kacey, Alex, Sophia and Nikolas; and also Sarah Homrighausen.
