It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Miye Friedland (Glen Cove, New York), born in Stockton, California, who passed away on May 17, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Friedland; and her siblings, Grayce Uyehara, Kei Kaneda, Toshio, George, Ben and Roy Kaneda.
She is survived by: her siblings, Tsunayoshi and Tome Ichinari Kaneda. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, fifteen nieces and nephews, and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Ruby Miye Friedland, a retired advertising/art director and faculty member at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, died of complications from coronavirus on May 17, 2020 at Dock Woods, a Living Branches Community in Lansdale, PA.
