Ann W. Van Wie Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ann W. Van Wie (Glenville, New York), who passed away on October 27, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Whillans and Rafaela "Ruth" Whillans (Vitolo); her husband Robert S. Van Wie; her grandson Robert Doriski; her aunt Theresa Vitolo Marone; and her cousin Teb (S. Charles DeMatteo).
She is survived by: her daughter Shirley A. Doriski (Theodore); her grandchildren, Michele Toohey (Saul), Anne Marie Taylor and Robinson (late David); her cousin Robena DeMatteo; her godson Carl Mateo; her friend Henrietta Bazlik; Bradley Doriski and Jessie Simpson. She is also survived by several other great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Memory Gardens (983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ann's name may be made to Flannel Graph Ministry at East Glenville Community Church, 335 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY 12302, or to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave, Scotia, NY 12302.
