Dorothy H. Dawson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy H. Dawson (Glenville, New York), who passed away on October 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Leizer and Mary Leizer (Smith); and her brother Ralph. She is survived by: her husband Edward "Sherm"; her children, Kristin Short (Tom) of Charlton and Adam Dawson (Paula) of Boulder; her grandchildren, Jared, Logan Short, Jacey and Tanner Dawson; her sister Charlote Moul (Wayne); and her sister-in-law Marion Leizer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home (9 Glenridge Rd, Glenville, NY 12302). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
Since animals and young children always brought great joy to her life, we ask that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to any charitable organization that serves to care for either of these groups.
