It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jo-Anne M. Matthews of Gloversville, New York, who passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Thomas and Caroline Travis Thomas; her husband Paul Matthews; and her brother Beverly Thomas. She is survived by: her son Stephen; her daughter-in-law Meghan; her grandchildren, Thomas, James and Sean; her son Gregory; her daughter-in-law Sue; her grandsons, Joseph and Nicholas; and her siblings, Douglas Thomas (Carmen) and Melva Rice. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Amico Funeral Home (150 S Main St, Gloversville, NY 12078). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
Per the request of Jo-Anne in lieu of flowers memorial contributions to be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY, 12078.
