He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus Staats and Sophia Staats (Ryder). He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Staats (Peterson) of Greenwich; and his brother Donald Staats (Marjorie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ed's family suggests that memorial donations in his memory be made to the charity of one's choice.
