He was predeceased by: his siblings, Betty Lauricella (Carl) and Dale F. Shaffer (Joanne). He is survived by: his wife Helen M. "Tookie" (McLeod); his children, Susan Sessanna (Timothy), Wendy McCool (Tim), David Shaffer (Audrey) and Eric Shaffer (Tammy); and his brother-in-law John D. McLeod (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. (2724 W Church St, Eden, NY 14057). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
