She was predeceased by: her husbands, John Hylkema and Paul Schneeberger; her parents, Alfonso Volo and Rose Volo; and her sister Lenore Buffa (late Silvio).
She is survived by: her children, Karen Hylkema, Lisa Damon (late David) and Brian Hylkema (Cindy); her grandchildren, Abigail Haist (Ron), Nathan Damon (Juliette), John Hylkema and Zachary Damon; her great grandchildren, Ashton, Kylie Haist and Sage Damon; and her siblings, Virginia Kurtz (Frederick) and Samuel Volo (Linda). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John J Kaczor Funeral Home, Inc. (5453 Southwestern Blvd, Hamburg, NY 14075). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (4263 St Francis Dr, Hamburg, NY 14075). A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Lakeside Memorial Cemetery (4810 Camp Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dolores' name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
