He was predeceased by: his child Douglas Cobb. He is survived by: his spouse Nan Cobb; his child Charles Cobb (Maria Whyte); his grandchildren, Liam Cobb and Charlotte Whyte; and his sibling Alice Mack. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
