He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Margery; his children, Perry Dix (Kim), Michael Dix (Margaret), Robert Dix (Barbara), David Dix (Denise) and Paul Dix (Kristine); and his sibling John Dix (Mary). He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
