He was predeceased by: his parent William A.; and his sibling Joanne Ritchie-Shanahan (Dan). He is survived by: his parent Helen E. Ritchie; and his siblings, James (Marcia), Peter (Rahn Cortez), Terri, Michael (Florence), Donald (Linda), Douglas (Tracy) and Scott Murphy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
