With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Barr of Afton, New York, who passed away on December 12, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Harder Barr and Richard Burgess Barr. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Schell; his children, Cindy (Greg) and David (Jennipher); his grandchildren, Alex Tiley (Stefanie), Katherine Tiley (John), Trey Mills (Andrea) and Paige; his great grandchildren, Bryanna, Aiden and Jackson; his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Bonnie; his sibling's children, Michael (Robin) and Kimberlee; his sister-in-law Grace Barr; his sibling's children, Tim Barr and Terry MacArthur; Tracy (Daniel Phillips).
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home (69 Maple St, Harpursville, NY 13787). A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
The family asks that any memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or the Oneonta Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
