We bid farewell to Douglas Story (Hopewell Junction, New York), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 8, 2025 at the age of 86. Douglas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Story and Lucy Story (Favreau); and his brother-in-law Lawrence Gallagher. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Brown; his children, Greg Story, Barbara Pignatello (Randy), Brian Story (Christine) and Christopher Story (Dana); his grandchildren, Joe Pignatello, Amanda Campanile, Rachel Quartuccio, Riley Story, Jameson Story, Peyton Story, Colin Story and Mickey Story; his great grandchildren, Natalia, Maximo, Luca, Alessa Pignatello, Juliana, Dominick, Sophia, Vincent, Gia, Salvatore Campanile, Ella, Audrey, Mia and Emilio Quartuccio; and his siblings, Nancy Gallagher and Roger Story (Rose). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Peter Cemetery (171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
