With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John James McShane of Horseheads, New York, who passed away on March 7, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John James McShane to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas McShane and Louise McShane (Weirs); his wife Leona Julia McShane (Reis); his brother Donald; his sister-in-law JoAnn; his half-brother Thomas McShane; his brother-in-law James Ernenwein; and his son-in-law Gifford DeWater.

He is survived by : his sister Sharon Ernenwein of Rome; his stepdaughter Catherine DeWater of Horseheads; his grandchildren, Michael DeWater (Cherie) of Livonia, Carrie Tournour (Chris) of Horseheads and Steve DeWater of Horseheads; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Kaitlyn DeWater, Riley and Lauren Tournour. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home (40 W James St, Richfield Springs, NY 13439). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
