We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Karen Hayes of Horseheads, New York, born in Elmira, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. You may also light a candle in honor of Karen Hayes.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Chester Hayes; her godchildren, Mickey (Chelsea), Joshua (Georgia), Brenton (Cassandra) and Lia; her grandchildren, Lily of Samantha, T. J., Ayza, Trinity, Tyler and Nevi; her great grandchildren, Jace and Lucah; and her siblings, Joni', Janny' (Larry), Mark (Debra) and Lin'. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 26th 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Barber Funeral Home (413 S Main St, Horseheads, NY 14845). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 26th 2021 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, February 26th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (563 Jerusalem Hill Rd, Elmira, NY 14901). Masks must be worn and social distancing observed.

Those wishing may remember Karen with a donation in her name to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
