It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ludwig R. Cartarius (Horseheads, New York), who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Hunsinger; his wife Rose L. Cartarius; and his daughter Pamela A. McKaig. He is survived by: his stepfather Milton Hunsinger; his daughters, Laurie (Robert Macri), Patricia Cartarius of Rochester, NY and Ann (Mark Duncan); his grandchildren, Sheena (McKaig), Kyle Ector, Devin (Macri), Jonathan Lawton, Chad Macri (Beth), Max and Sam Duncan; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Colt Macri, Brantley and Corbin Ector.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sullivan's Funeral Home (365 E Franklin St, Horseheads, NY 14845). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
