Richard H. Riker Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard H. Riker Jr. of Horseheads, New York, born in Elmira, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Riker, and Alois Riker, Sr. (Palmer); his siblings, Jeff Riker and Evadne Riker; and his mother-in-law Gloria Garihan.
He is survived by: his wife Canda Riker (Steinhauer); his children, Richard Riker, III, Penny Roman, Tammy Hoover (Jeremy) and Jessica Riker; his grandchildren, Justin Riker (Jessica), Katelynn Butler, Anthony Roman (Ally Barr), Andrew Roman, Aiden Roman, Alexander Roman and Paxton Hoover; his great grandchildren, Raelynn and Peyton Stansfield; his siblings, Georgiana "Georgie" Cowles, Mary Riker, Joella Riker, Joel Riker (Pam) and Hank Riker (Tracey); his sister-in-law Karen Riker; and his pets, Dakota, Harley and Harper. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harris Hill (557 Harris Hill Rd, Elmira, NY 14903).
