He was predeceased by: his father John Henry Gantt; and his brother Maurice A. Gantt. He is survived by: his mother Martha Gantt (Poole); his children, Sydney, Savannah and Michael John; his brother Reese; his cousin Kimo; his uncle John H. Poole; and his godmother Marie Wortham. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
