He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald R. Holtzman and Gwendolyn M. "Gwen" Temple; his stepfather G. William "Bill" Temple; his wife Kathleen Murphy Holtzman; his brother Ronald R. Holtzman (Joyce); his sister-in-law Patricia H. Young; and his nephews, Kenneth Holtzman and Brian P. Young.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark R. Holtzman (Patricia) of Clifton Park and Scott A. Holtzman; his grandchildren, Emily and Thomas Holtzman; his niece Teresa Ellmyer; his great-nephews, Daniel Ellmyer (Stefanie), Steven Ellmyer and Matthew Ellmyer (Courtney); his brother-in-law George Young; his sibling's children, George Young (Dorothy), John Young (Chris McCartney), Megan and Joseph Young; Theda Mae, Daniel, Raymond, Henry, Lorretta, Bryn, Alissa, Madison and Emily.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Please Enter the Funeral Home (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the McVeigh Funeral Home (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206).
