It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Leona Recktenwald of Ionia, New York, who passed away, on January 12, 2021. She was predeceased by : her husband George W. Recktenwald, Jr.; her son David Recktenwald; and her siblings, Nora, Yevtte, Simone, Doris, Eva and Edgar.

She is survived by : her sons, Eric (Gayla) of Ionia, Marc (Laurie) of Ionia and John Recktenwald of Ionia; her brother Rodger Baird; and her grandchildren, Krista, Dalton and Shane Recktenwald. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The Mass will be live streamed at http://www.saintcath.org. (Masks and social distancing will be required at church) Immediately following the Mass interment will be held at Miller's Corners Cemetery, Ionia.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Catherine of Siena Church or Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
