She was predeceased by: her parents, Sid Bakal and Arlene Bakal; and her husband John Lewis. She is survived by: her sister Wendy Bakal; her brother-in-law Augie Stagliano; her sibling's children, Alexandra Stagliano of New York City and Danny Stagliano of New Orleans; and her pet Fifi.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Hospicare of Ithaca and the TC SPCA.
