He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Sims and Lillian Hayward Sims. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Griffin; his children, Ernest Sims and Claudette Yeager; and his siblings, Alfred Sims, Arthur Sims, Eunice Langendorfer, Albie Gomez and Shirley Morgan. He is also survived by six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
