He was predeceased by: his parents, Vergel Verlin Josey and Marion Gretchen Hollister. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Lane VanGelder; his children, Marcia, Kristine and Curtis Jr.; and his sisters, Gretchen and Joanne. He is also survived by his wife, three children, three grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19, a memorial will be scheduled later.
