It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johannes Vangsnes (Ithaca, New York), born in Bergen, New York, who passed away on February 11, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elsa Vangsnes and Per Vangsnes; his children, Peter Vangsnes (Melanie), Nicola Vangsnes of Durham, NC and Gillian Ryan (Jim); his grandchildren, Alexandra Vangsnes, Paris France, Caroline Vangsnes, Flannery Hysjulien (Reilly Coch), Liam Hysjulien (Crista Cuccaro), Aidan Hysjulien (Sara Janda), Erik Devenpeck, Carla Devenpeck and Kaylee Ryan; his great grandchildren, Nora Coch and Clay Hysjulien of Ithaca, NY; and his siblings, Einar Vangsnes (Eve), Ingeborg Frøysland (Harry), Greta Taraldsen and Norway. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews; and some very good friends.
