He was predeceased by: his parents, Burjor Mistry and Jer Mistry; his sister Gulnar Tafti; and his granddaughter Ayla Mistry. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Garland (Gin) of Ithaca, NY; his foster children, Gin, Shireen, Christina, Amber, Kimmie, Brittany, Elisabetta and Lacey; his children, Roshan Swope (Eric) of Harrisville, NH, Manek Mistry (Jodi Backlund) of Olympia, WA, Premila Mistry of Washington, D. C. and Jal Mistry (Stephanie Lee) of East Greenwich, RI.; his grandchildren, Maya, Molly, Eliana and Abigail; his brothers, Jangoo Mistry (Firdaus) and Ronnie Mistry (Armaiti); and his brother-in-law Shahrookh Tafti. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
