He was predeceased by : his parent Joseph Kuhl; his wife Karen Carlson Kuhl; and his sister Georgia Pentek. He is survived by : his parent Julia Endredi Kuhl; his daughters, Judith Wight of Bemus Point, NY and Donna Kuhl-Chimera (Jeff) of Mebane, NC; his grandchildren, Sophia Kuhl-Chimera, Lennon Kuhl-Chimera, Madeline Wight and Reid Wight; his siblings, Maria Lavicska and Joseph T. Kuhl (Chris) of Whippany, NJ.; and also Ike.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holy Apostles Parish, 508 Cherry St. Jamestown, NY 14701 or to The Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo, Upon This Rock, 795 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14203.
