He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Nord and Sigrid V. Nord; and his siblings, Ruth Nord Erickson, LeRoy and Vernon Nord.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Nord (Debbie) of Sonora, CA and Linda Ulrich (Joe) of Sugar Grove, PA.; his grandchildren, Natalie Talbot (James) and Kevin Nord of San Francisco, CA; his great grandchildren, Kiarra, James and Wyatt; his nephew Roger Erickson (Sylvia); and also Swedish. He is also survived by his cousins, nieces and nephews.
