With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine W. Thorpe of Jamestown, New York, who passed away on January 16, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Woods and Helen McGee Woods; her husband Denton B. "Dent" Thorpe; her son David J. Thorpe; and her brother Charles Woods.
She is survived by: her sons, Paul C. Thorpe (Jackie), Charles P. Thorpe (Marsha) of Jamestown, NY, Mark W. Thorpe (Bonnie) of Lakewood, NY and Daniel R. Thorpe (Marcia) of Jamestown, NY; her daughter-in-law Pam Thorpe of Erie, PA; and her grandchildren, Paul Thorpe, Jr., Mitchell Thorpe, Rachel Thorpe, Natalie McCord (Ryne), Jennifer Mastro (Seth), Kevin Thorpe, Kyle Thorpe, Kristina Johnston (Rich) and Kelsey Jaroszynski (David). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Jamestown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 1011 West Third St. Jamestown, NY 14701.
