He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Anna Carnes; his wife Jean Trunzo Carnes; his sons, Jeff Carnes (Jane) of Frewsburg, NY and Jason Carnes of Ellery Center, NY; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jacob, Abbey and Ashley Carnes; and his mother Anna Lanni.

Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care.
