She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Coleman and Dorothy Smith Coleman; her husband Lyle Porter; and her sisters, Cordelia Dealey and Diviann Bender.

She is survived by : her children, Sherry Carraher of Columbia, SC, Richard Wassman of Hilton Head, SC, Jeanine Andrews of Lakewood and William "Bill" Wassman of Lakewood; and her grandchildren, Callie Love, Christie Fulkerson, Brendan Andrews, Ryan Wassman, Jessica Wassman, Samantha Wassman and Chloe Wassman. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
