He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nelson and Lucille Glad Nelson; his wife Deborah J. Hanstrom Nelson; his son William R. Nelson; and his sister Carol Ainey.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Klenke (Charlie), Steven Nelson (Tina) of Scranton, PA and Gerald R. Nelson (Jennifer) of Hampton, CT; his grandchildren, Nicholas Klenke, Taylor Nelson, Daniel Nelson, Matthew Nelson and Megan Nelson; his sister Sue Lindquist (Vere) of Jamestown; his friends, Jim and Carole Toth; and also, Brandey Oakes (Chris), Brandon Lucariello, Peyton Oakes and Marissa Oakes.
Due to CDC and NYS Covid 19 restrictions face masks will be required and social distancing observed during the visitation.
