He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wendel and Grace Schollar Wendel; and his siblings, Marion Schreiber and Bernard Wendel. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Heidt Wendel of Jamestown; and his daughter Sheri Shaw (Richard) of West Seneca. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
