John J. Crate Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Crate (Jamestown, New York), born in Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on October 10, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Kidd-Johnson Crate; his former wives, Lois Ann Crate and Betty Carver; his parents, Joseph A. Crate and Josephine Mott Crate; his son John W. Crate; and his brother James Crate.
He is survived by: his son Steven A. Crate (Anne) of Edgewater, FL; his grandchildren, Carly Wohl (Thomas) and Brian Morris (Nicole); his stepdaughter Cindi Welling of Sinclairville; and his sibling's children, David and Susie. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, all of Florida; several step children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Observing social distancing, a memorial service will be held at 1 p. m. Thursday, October 15th in St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
