He was predeceased by: his parent Gerald Peterson; and his grandparents, Lewis Carlson, Betty Carlson, Hilding Peterson and Genevieve Peterson.
He is survived by: his parent Janice Carlson Peterson; his wife Laurie De Pane Peterson; his children, Janice Ploss (Gene) of Buffalo and John E. Peterson (Kara Mawhir) of Fredonia; his granddaughter Angela Jean Peterson Ploss of Buffalo; and his siblings, Stephen Peterson (Natalie) of Frewsburg, Jeffrey Peterson (Bette) of Falconer, David Peterson (Debbie) of Jamestown, Diana Peterson and Lori Bourquin (David). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
