He was predeceased by: his parents, Sheridan Smith and Elma "McCarty" Smith; his wife Harriet L. "Splink" Smith; his grandchildren, Gary Holbrook and Destiny Dahlbeck; and his brothers, Franklin Smith and Emory Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Bradley Smith (Sue) of Celoron, N. Y., Matt Smith (Cathy) of West Ellicott, N. Y. and Adrian Smith-Madden of Lakewood, N. Y.; his grandchildren, Jason Holbrook, Lyndsi Larson, Amanda Larson, Emily Naetzker, Sheridan Smith, Alex Svensen (Lily) and Jamie Armes (Joel); his great grandchildren, Meridith Holbrook, Courtney Holbrook, Dillon Holbrook, Colton Holbrook, Xavier Jordan, Damon Demarco, Jaxson Demarco, Allie Caldwell, Brian Caldwell, Jr., Oscar Svensen, Chance Caldwell, Zackary Dahlbeck, Chanda Lynn, Hunter Germain, Blythe Schuchardt, Keegen Schuchardt, Alhaji Sheriff and Kaziah Sheriff; and his great great grandchildren, Jack, Iris, Augustine and Teddy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
