Josephine R. Hilyer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine R. Hilyer (Jamestown, New York), who passed away on September 1, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Russo and Christine Russo; her former husband Leonard "Leo" T. Fusco; her husband Herman E. Hilyer; and her siblings, Carmelita "Carm" Paladino and Sabatini "Sonny" Russo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Hilyer (Jimmy), Lucy Schultz (Jay), Mary Jo Salvaggio (John) and JoAnn Murray (Shawn); her adoptive daughter Sheila Lipscomb (Jimmy); her stepchildren, Herman Hilyer Jr. of North East, PA, Clyde "Buck" Hilyer (Sharon) of Sheffield Pa, Mark Hilyer (Stephanie) of Buffalo, NY, John Hilyer of Erie and Theresa Black of Erie; her grandchildren, Ryan Fusco, Jayden, Jesse, Jolee Schultz and Seth Murray; her great grandchild Rylee Fusco; her brothers, Anthony "Tote" Russo (Alice) of Gerry, NY and Matt Russo of Jamestown; her pet Lily; and her nieces, Teresa Canfield and Renee Thompsett. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
CDC guidelines for social distancing of six feet as well as mandatory face masks are required.
