She was predeceased by: her son Thomas D. "Tommy" Sample; and her brother-in-law Thomas Newberry. She is survived by: her parents, George Dewey and Freida Rath Dewey of Jamestown; her son Falconer-Cassadaga Valley; her husband Thomas E. Sample; her children, Gwen Sample (Ashley Syper) of Westfield and Rayven Sample of Gerry; her grandchildren, Jonathan Syper of Westfield and Amanda Syper (Matt Barton) of Westfield; her siblings, George Dewey (Carla) of Charlotte, NC, Ronald Dewey (Becky) of Falconer and Lori Newberry (Bill Alexander) of Jamestown; her friend Linda Minnich of Dewittville; her sister-in-law Donna Sample of Bemus Point; and her nephew Barry (Amber Lindquist) of Cherry Creek. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
