She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred W. Walburg and Doris R. Bassett Walburg; and her sister Sandra A. Anderson. She is survived by: her husband Edward Smith, Jr.; her children, Brandi M. Marsh of North Carolina, Jessica L. Smith of Jamestown, Lindsey Smith of North Carolina and Jeremy E. Smith of Florida; her grandchildren, Porter M. Smith-Taylor, Spencer D., Carter O. and Drew M. Roggenbaum; and her siblings, Gail Mitchell and Robert Walburg of Jamestown.
