He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Paterniti and Constance Tilaro Paterniti; his daughter Amy Paterniti; his brother Joe "Pepsi" Paterniti; his nephew Dennis Paterniti; and his pet Elvis.
He is survived by: his children, Holly Gatto (James), Rick Paterniti (Michelle) and Chris Paterniti; his grandchildren, Nick, Jessica Gatto, Kristen Hill, Mike Hutley, Emily Miller, Ellie Paterniti, Lindsey, Mason Riley, Conner and Colin Paterniti; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Gatto, Rowan Marsh, Mavyn, Caiden, Michaela Hutley, Parker, Priscilla Monroe, Camryn Lether, Elliott and Ruby Paterniti; and his nephew Joe Paterniti (Kim).
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lind Funeral Home (805 W 3rd St, Jamestown, NY 14701). A Mass will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (27 Allen St, Jamestown, NY 14701). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (27 Allen St, Jamestown, NY 14701). COVID regulations temporarily closed the salon and eventually the decision was made to close the salon permanently and retire.
Memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club Alumni Association.
