She was predeceased by: her mother Evelyn McKain; and her siblings, Lowell McKain (Mickey) and Donna Bauer (McKain). She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Sherman; her children, Brian Whalen (Kathy) and Stacie Hornburg (David); her stepdaughters, Julie Covert (John) and Sheila Marzinek (Gil); her grandchildren, Amanda Johnson (Christopher), Brittany Green (Jeffrey), Jordan Chamberlin (Miranda), Branden Decker (Molly), Brandon Chamberlin (Kelly), Taylor Whalen, Justin Whalen, Kamarin Whalen, Corinne Covert, Lydia Covert, Elizabeth Hornburg and Jessica Hornburg; and her pets, Spotter and Maggie. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her honor to the Chautauqua County Humane Society or Chautauqua County 4H.
