He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest G. Stahlman and Eleanor Grube Stahlman; and his son Scott Gordon Stahlman. He is survived by: his wife Sonja Carlson Stahlman; his children, Richard G. Stahlman, Jr. (Jeanne Shellberg) of Greenville, SC and Lisa Colby (James) of Lakewood, NY; his granddaughters, Emily Ann Stahlman of Greenville, SC, Ellen Marie Stahlman of Greenville, SC and Elizabeth Louise Stahlman of Charlotte, NC; his stepgrandchildren, Robert A. Colby (Jennifer) of Portland, OR and Ericka Ann Colby of Jamestown, NY; and his sister Diane Gren (Jon).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, 20 West Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750 or to the James Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry St. Jamestown, NY 14701.
