He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Briggs; his children, Suzanne Elizabeth Doherty (Conor) of Dubai, UAE, Judith Anne Thompson of Pittsburgh, PA and Jonathan Alden Briggs (Jennifer) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Malley, Declan Doherty, George, Mary "Libby" Thompson, Nicholas and Noelle Briggs; his sister-in-law Karen Briggs of Rochester, NY; and his brother Richard Allan Briggs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either of the two organizations close to Bob's heart; the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256; or the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
