He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger E. Owen and Jean Houghwot Green; his daughter Cassie Bentley; and his brother LeRoy Houghwot. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lord Vinton; his children, Richard Vinton, Jenny Vinton Quackenbush, Jason Vinton and Daniel Vinton; his stepchildren, David Eckstrom, Arthur Bentley and Elizabeth Reindl; his siblings, Darlene Stahlman (Tom) and James Durlin; and his sister-in-law Leonna Houghwot. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
