He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer VanDewark and Allene VanDewark; his former wife Nancy Stewart VanDewark; and his brother Neil VanDewark. He is survived by: his wife Lissa Steiger VanDewark; his children, Jason VanDewark (Amy) of Concord, NC and Carrie V. McCracken of Aurora, IL; his granddaughters, Carly Sholar (Matthew) of Columbia, SC and Alison VanDewark of Washington, DC; and his brothers, Brian VanDewark (Brenda) of Hilton, NY and Warren VanDewark (Diane) of Busti.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marjorie L. Larson Memorial Nursing Scholarship at Chautauqua Region Community Foundation; Chautauqua Area Habitat for Humanity; or to a charity dear to you.
