She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Albert Hagstrom and Florence Grant Hagstrom; her stepfather Roger S. Carlson; her sisters, Doreen Brugge and Marilyn Carlson; her brothers-in-law, Donald Brugge and Robert Carlson; and her great-niece Lindsey Peterson.
She is survived by: her husband Barry Benson; her grandchildren, Abigail Zabrodsky (Ken Gilbert), Olivia Zabrodsky, William Bogdan (Hannah Flynn) and Rebecca Bogdan; her sister Sandra Christensen (Robert); her sibling's children, Deborah Gunther (Emil), Darlene Peterson (Lee), Marshall Brugge (Amy), David Brugge, Scott Christensen (Elizabeth) and Toby Christensen (Natalie); and also, Kristy, John Zabrodsky, Tracy and Ted Bogdan.
