He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Samperi and Ninfa Samperi (Pollina); and his brother Catino "Charlie". He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Peters; and his children, Anthony "Chip", Mark, Kate and Monica. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren.
Never one to sit still for long, he twice completed a 50-mile charity walk-a-thon for the benefit of Heart Association.
