He was loved and cherished by many people including: his adoptive parents, Lewis Matthews and Lula La Rivers Matthews; his sisters, Myra Baldwin and Mina Dianito; his stepson David Polgreen; his wife Rose Ann Winsman Matthews; his sister Gladys Mittler of Broadalbin; his daughter-in-law Catherine Polgreen; and his grandson Nathaniel Polgreen.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mongomery SPCA or to Community Hospice of Amsterdam, both in care of the funeral home.
